General Fund
Grants from the General Fund of the Austin Foundation for Architecture are earmarked for the purposes of community education on how good design affects our lives in Austin and surrounding areas and educating the public about the importance of stewardship of the Central Texas environment. Grants awarded have included:
2011
- Arthouse at the Jones Center, Rooftop Architecture Film Series, 2011
- Women.Design.Build, Shop Talk: a conversational workshop series providing design/build instruction from practitioners in the field, 2011
2010
- Architecture in Schools, bringing the value of good design into our grade schools
- Austin History Center, registration for archivist to attend workshop on care of design and construction documents
- Temporary Outdoor Gallery Space design competition, bringing the value of good design to our art-lover community
- UpLift Austin, bringing the value of good design into our local high schools
- KIPP Austin, Design Voice Student Internship
